Art exhibition opening: Palestinian artist Layla Ali Amar

Layla Ali Amar, an Atlanta resident and Palestinian artist, is opening her exhibition, Ibn Al Shatat: Witnessing Across Time & Place,  during the Atlanta Radical Book Fair (follow them on Instagram, as well as the Refaat Mobile Library, for info on other events throughout the day, including a panel on migration). The exhibit, translating to “Son of Diaspora”, “explores themes of temporality, diaspora, & collective trauma through mixed media illustrations, paintings, & tatreez.”
