Vigil and Fundraiser for Jesus Manuel Arenas-Silva, 295th person to die in ICE detention

Metro Atlantans are invited to come together to support the family of Jesus Manuel Arenas-Silva, the 295th person to die in ICE detention. Proceeds from tickets (available for purchase at eventbrite.com/e/remembering-with-love-a-community-event-to-honor-jesus-manuel-arenas-silva-tickets-1996654026943) will be donated to his family so that they can cover the cost of sending his body back to Venezuela. This fundraiser, sponsored by El Refugio, Elvas Mexican and Vinings Lake Church, will be a celebration of life (12-2 p.m.) filled with music, food, and information about how you can help out immigration advocacy orgs doing the work here in Georgia. There will also be a vigil service (10 a.m.) honoring all victims of U.S. immigration policy and rhetoric.
