Canopy Atlanta and Rough Draft Atlanta are hosting an event featuring the diverse chefs of Norcross. Come for a sample of dishes and a discussion abut the diverse city.

The city of Clarkston is hosting its annual Juneteenth festival, to commemorate the emancipation of enslaved African Americans, throughout Downtown Market Street. The day long will festival will include  discussions, cultural performances, and "opportunities for meaningful engagement and reflection," according to the event website.  

The Alif Institute is hosting a cooking class where participants will learn to cook shakhshuka, an "originally Tunisian meal made by the combination of simmering tomatoes and / or red pepper sauce, onions, garlic, spices and gently poached eggs." Details here.

Milam Pool at Clarkston will host a free two hour swimming lesson on Thursday -as part of the World's Largest Swimming Lesson  (WLSL) event. WLSL is a "global drowning prevention event" that is "supported by leading aquatics and safety organizations around the world and takes place at all types of aquatic facilities." Details here.

The International Rescue Committee - Atlanta is hosting a trivia night to mark World Refugee Day. Trivia will focus on IRC's in Atlanta's programs and the communities it serves. Register solo or with a team here.  

The Clarkston Community Center is hosting a celebration to mark World Refugee Day. The event will feature traditional dances, cooking demonstrations, musical performances, and a vendor market, all highlighting cultures represented by Georgia's diverse refugee communities.  

The Bakery Atlanta, a collective of artists, curators, and administrators, is hosting a 'Printmaking for Palestine' workshop.  Participants will learn printmaking techniques from local artist Jasmin Warnock, and create individual 4 x 6 prints that will be included in a larger community print.
